Here’s how to ensure your image is approved and eye-catching. ✅

Technical Requirements:

✅ Format: .jpg or .jpeg only
✅ Minimum dimensions: 3000 x 3000 pixels (square format)
✅ Max file size: 10MB
✅ High resolution: no blurry or pixelated images

Prohibited Elements:

❌ Social media handles or logos (e.g. @artistname, IG icons)
❌ Website URLs or promotional links (e.g. www.yourlink.com)
❌ Any text that’s not the artist name or release title
❌ Record label logos or branding without permission

👉 These rules are set by music platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and must be followed strictly.

Tips for a Successful Cover:

🎯 Use original artwork or professional photography
🎭 Make sure it matches the vibe or genre of your music
🌈 Choose bold colors, but keep it clean
💡 Less is more – minimal, striking designs perform better

Common Mistakes That Get Covers Rejected:

  • “Follow me on Instagram” on the cover — ❌

  • “Available now at www.link.com” — ❌

  • Label logos included without approval — ❌

If Your Artwork Is Rejected:
📨 You’ll receive an automatic notification with the reason and instructions to upload a new one via your UMW Core dashboard.

📌 Where to upload?
