Sometimes, due to artist name mismatches or automated processes by DSPs (Digital Service Providers), a release may be mistakenly assigned to the wrong artist profile or even generate a new profile when one already exists.
At UMW Recordings Inc., we offer specialized support to correct these types of errors through direct requests to the channels or by using official artist verification and profiling tools.
🔄 When can this error occur?
The artist's name is similar or identical to another existing artist.
The channel (DSP) creates a new profile automatically without checking if an active one already exists.
The Artist ID was not entered correctly when setting up the release.
