UMW Recordings Inc. strictly enforces international technical standards to ensure content acceptance by major platforms (DSPs) and ensure an optimal listener experience.


✅ Allowed formats

Format

Technical description

WAV (.wav)

Preferred format for its uncompressed fidelity. Industry standard.

FLAC (.flac)

Lossless compressed format. A valid alternative to WAV.

Files in MP3, AAC, M4A, OGG, WMA or other lossy formats are not accepted.

☁️ Supported charging methods

UMW offers two upload modes for your master files:

🔹 Local Charging

  • Drag the file directly from your computer.

  • Ideal for quick connection and local files.

🔸 Upload to the Cloud

  • Compatible with services such as Google Drive and Dropbox .

  • Useful for collaborative work or remote file management.

The system automatically detects the file format and size. If it doesn't meet the requirements, the file will be rejected.


📋 Additional technical recommendations

  • Export your final track in uncompressed linear PCM stereo .

  • Make sure there is no excessive silence at the beginning or end .

  • The file name must follow this structure:TrackNumber_ArtistName_Title.wav


⚠️ Content rejection

UMW reserves the right to reject content that:

  • Does not meet the technical requirements indicated.

  • Contains compression artifacts , digital errors, or distortion.

  • Does not match the entered metadata (e.g. duration, title, artist).
