🎬 What type of content can be distributed?

  • Official music videos (video clips)

  • Audiovisual content related to musical releases

  • Authorized and original material that complies with editorial and image rights


📥 Requirements to upload your video

Within the UMW charging system, you will need to complete the following information:

  • Video name

  • Artist name

  • Role of the artist

  • Full name of the composer or authors

  • Year and copyright holder

  • Musical genre

  • Explicit content (yes, no or clean version)

  • Release date

  • Thumbnail 1280x720px, up to 2MB

  • Video description (up to 3000 characters)


💻 Mandatory technical specifications

Video (HD required):

  • Format: .mov or .mp4

  • Resolution: 1920x1080 (minimum)

  • Frame Rate: Native, minimum 23.98 fps

  • Bitrate: 20 Mbps minimum (7500 Kb/s as standard)

  • Encoding: H.264 or ProRes

  • Interlaced: No (progressive required)

  • No brands, intros, credits or slates

Audio:

  • Format: AAC

  • Channels: Stereo (L/R)

  • Sampling rate: 44.1 kHz

  • Bitrate: 320 kbps CBR


📡 Distribution process

  1. Upload the video to your UMW dashboard, under the "Video" section.

  2. Complete all metadata and select "Apple Video" as the target platform.

  3. The validation team will review the file and its information.

  4. If the video meets the standards, it will be submitted to Apple for publication.


🔒 Important considerations

  • All content must be free of unauthorized third-party rights.

  • The release must match the metadata and the original master.

  • Apple reserves the right to reject any video that does not meet its technical or legal standards.
