🚨 1. Artificial Streaming (Streaming Fraud)

DSPs constantly monitor stream activity to detect suspicious behavior, such as:

🔁 Streams generated by bots
🏭 Click farms or fake accounts
💸 Third-party services that “guarantee” plays
📊 Sudden traffic spikes that don’t match organic patterns

If this kind of activity is detected on your release — even if you didn’t do it yourself — the DSP may withhold royalties and take down your content to protect the platform and other creators. 🛑

🛡️ 2. Copyright Infringement

Another common reason for takedowns is a copyright violation. This happens when a DSP receives a claim involving unauthorized use of:

🎼 Music or samples from another artist
📽️ Audio or content from films, TV, or games
📸 Artwork or images that are protected
📃 Lyrics or compositions without proper licenses

If you don’t have the legal rights to use that material, the DSP is required to remove the content until the issue is resolved or clarified. ⚖️

📩 How Will I Know the Exact Reason?

Whenever a takedown occurs, you'll receive a pop-up notification in your platform dashboard that includes:

🔹 The name of the DSP that issued the takedown
🔹 The specific reason (e.g., “Artificial Streaming Detected” or “Copyright Infringement”)
🔹 A list of the affected releases
🔹 Step-by-step instructions on how to proceed

👀 Make sure to read the notification carefully so you can respond appropriately.

🎯 In Summary:

✔️ The two most common reasons for takedowns are streaming fraud and copyright infringement
✔️ DSPs are required to act to protect their ecosystem and community
✔️ The notification will explain exactly what happened
✔️ You can contact support if you have questions or want to appeal
