What is an Official Artist Channel?

An Official Artist Channel (OAC) merges all your YouTube content — including your topic channel, personal artist channel, and Vevo channel (if applicable) — into a single, verified professional profile. Once approved:

  • All your subscribers are consolidated under one channel.

  • Your releases, albums, and videos are grouped and organized.

  • You gain access to YouTube Analytics for Artists.

  • A musical note icon appears next to your name, indicating an official artist.

How to Request Your Official Artist Channel

Using your platform (as shown in the screenshots), follow these steps:

  1. Enter your exact artist name as it appears on your topic or current artist channel.

  2. Fill in the required information:

    • Artist email address

    • Artist channel URL

    • Official music video URL

    • Topic channel URL (if available)

    • Last release ID

  3. Click Submit.

Once submitted, your request will appear with a specific status:

  • Accepted – Your OAC is live and functional.

  • 🟠 Pending – Your request is under review by the platform or YouTube.

  • Rejected – There was an error (wrong name, invalid link, duplicate submission, etc.).

⚠️ Key Requirements for Approval

  • Your artist name must exactly match the one shown on your topic channel and DSPs like Spotify or Apple Music.

  • You must be the owner/operator of the channel — channels managed by third parties may be denied.

  • Only one official channel is allowed per artist.
