These restrictions help maintain fairness, protect intellectual property rights, and uphold the trust of digital platforms and users.
β Cases Where Free Deletion Does NOT Apply:
1. π΅οΈββοΈ Confirmed Fraud or Suspicious Activity
If content was uploaded using false information, click-farming services, artificial streaming bots, or any deceptive practice, free deletion will be denied.
β
π« The account may also face suspension or investigation.
2. π Violations of DSP Policies (Spotify, Apple, etc.)
If a DSP has already removed your content due to spam, fake metadata, excessive duplication, or other terms-of-service violations, native deletion becomes blocked at the platform level.
β
π In such cases, the takedown is outside of UMW's control.
3. βοΈ Copyright or Intellectual Property Disputes
If thereβs an active copyright claim or legal dispute from a third-party rights holder (e.g., a composer, label, or publisher), the content cannot be deleted freely until the conflict is resolved.
β
π This includes issues related to ISRCs, unauthorized authors, or disputed ownership.
4. π« Unauthorized Publishing or Missing Licenses
Content distributed without proper permission from the rights holder β such as unlicensed remixes, unauthorized covers, or uncleared samples β is not eligible for free native deletion.
β
π These cases often require legal review, and UMW may take further action or notify rights owners.
β οΈ What Are the Implications for the User?
π΄ An administrative fee may apply for forced takedowns
π΄ Content may be locked or blocked from redistribution
π΄ Account suspensions or terminations may be triggered
