Whether you're an artist, label, or part of a distribution team, it's important to regularly check internal reports and stay alert to any suspicious activity that could impact your catalog.

📍 Where to Find the Reports

To check if any of your releases have been flagged for artificial streaming, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your distribution platform (UMW Core) 🔐💻

  2. Go to the 📁 “Sales” section

  3. Click on 📊 “Reports”

  4. Look for the category 🚨 “Artificial Streaming Reports” (or similar)

Here, you'll find reports generated by DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, etc.) that have detected suspicious activity involving your tracks.

🔎 What Do These Reports Contain?

These reports usually include:

  • 🎵 The affected track or album

  • 🧾 Internal codes like Track ID or Release ID

  • 🧑‍💻 User ID and email (if available) associated with the suspicious activity

  • 📈 Number of flagged plays

  • 🌍 The platform where the activity occurred (Spotify, etc.)

  • 🕐 The time period when it was detected

🧠 Why Is This Important?

✔️ Helps you identify unusual patterns early
✔️ Allows you to contact your distributor to clarify or take action
✔️ Helps you prevent penalties like withheld royalties or takedowns

💡 Consistent monitoring of your digital performance is key to maintaining your credibility as an artist or label.

🎯 In Summary:

✅ Regularly check your analytics and reporting dashboard
✅ Navigate to Sales > Reports > Artificial Streaming Reports
✅ Review the data with your team
✅ Take action quickly if something looks suspicious
